Backward compatibility is one of the few advantages of the Xbox One over its rival console, the PlayStation 4. PlayStation 4 backward compatibility may never happen, while Xbox One owners will continue to gain access to Xbox and Xbox 360 games in the future.

Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Cross-Play

It appears that backward compatibility will only be available on the Xbox One for the near future. But how about the other feature that is missing from the PlayStation 4?

Cross-platform play between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 was once again placed in the spotlight last month, as Microsoft continued to push for Sony to allow the feature to happen in massively popular multiplayer shooter Fortnite. Sony has so far resisted in agreeing to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One cross-play, but according to Epic Games CEO, the feature is "inevitable."
